NKJSHS Technology

North Knox Junior/Senior High School has seven computer labs. Four of these labs are full-time classrooms used by three of our English teachers and our Computer Applications teacher. Computer labs are used in a variety of ways including online test taking, writing and publishing research papers, improving keyboarding skills, internet research, CAD-based drawings, and multimedia projects.

NKJSHS also utilizes a Chromebook cart. This mobile lab contains 30 Chromebooks. Students and teachers use the Chromebooks in conjunction with their Google apps accounts to create and store classroom documents. Google Drive allows students and teachers to access their files anywhere on any device with access to the internet. The Chromebooks also allow students to take online assessments and complete classroom assignments right at their desks. Chromebooks are inexpensive and easy to manage devices that we are excited to have in our school.

Vocational classrooms have access to a classroom set of iPads. Students and teachers use the iPads for internet research and online assessments.

Fifteen of our classrooms have 77" interactive Smart boards with short-throw Epson projectors. Teachers dispense classroom notes and display instructional videos via their classroom projectors.

North Knox Junior/Senior High School uses technology every day in all of our classrooms. We are excited about new additions to technology at North Knox and look forward to expanding educational opportunities through technology.
